What is Ajrakh?

Ajrak, also known as Ajrakh, is a unique form of blockprinting found in Kutch India. These shawls display special designs and patterns made using block printing by stamps. Over the years, ajraks have become a symbol of the Sindhi culture and traditions. Ajrak print is also famous in neighbouring areas of India in the states of Rajasthan and Gujarat

Saree comes with a Blouse piece. Hand block printing is a centuries old art form that utilizes a hand carved wood block, dipped in dye and stamped by hand onto fabric. Characteristic imperfections associated with hand block printing may be observed, and colours may fade or bleed due to the traditional dyeing and printing process employed. Modal This product is made using the ajrak handblock technique which is a process with upto 14 stages that employs natural colours for printing and is practised in Kutch District of India.
